In the first three decades after foundation of the SAATEN-UNION in 1965, the distribution of maize-varieties has been a strong back-bone of their turnover. Legendary varieties like ANJOU 21, PIRAT and MAGISTER have been leading varieties in the German market.

For cattle fattening maize silages are needed, that allow high and stable weight gain with a low pellet input. Hence, those silages must possess a high energetic fodder value and a good flavour. How can this type of silage be produced? You will find a description in the following article.
